CD Release Party and Company

Hey, guys! "Quick" update:

First off, there's a CD release party going down this Saturday at the Inn, which is a place most of you are familiar with at this point. We're going to be providing food (cook-out style with hot dogs) and a cake to celebrate as well as showing off some merchandise and playing songs from our new album, Rescue Me, with some background into how we wrote some of them. Of course, we're also throwing in some covers - some Plumb, Barlow Girl, and Superchi[k]. It should be a whole lot of fun, and we hope you'll come and join us. The party starts at 8. Be there or be square.

In other news, we know you're all out shopping for Christmas presents and stocking stuffers and all sorts of gifts for the holiday season. I'm going to do some shameless self-promotion here and say, "Hey, why not a Sound of Faith CD or t-shirt?" But, if you're thinking something else will do better for your friends and family, I'd like to take this opportunity to remind you that you can use Goodshop to help support our ministry just by shopping online at major retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Borders, Dell, Family Christian stores, iTunes, Macy's... And right about there is where I got bored scrolling through the list with HUNDREDS of stores you can buy from. Did you guys know there's a store called French Toast School Uniforms? You do now.

Anyways, it's easy to use Goodshop. Just go to www.goodsearch.com. From there, you can select the Goodshop option below the search area. Then, you can either type in a store name or select it from the seemingly never-ending list I just skimmed through. Just make sure you type in "Sound of Faith Ministries" for the "Who do you support?" option. Each store you purchase from will make a donation (each one varies how much they donate) to Sound of Faith based on a percentage of your purchase price. And, of course, if you're not into buying online, you can just use goodsearch as your primary search engine (or, heck, just use it once, decide Google's still better, and switch over so long as you do that every time you search :P), and we'll get a donation from that, too.

In other news, our gig at ROAR on the 21st was unfortunately canceled, but you've got another chance to come see us on December 5th, the first Saturday of the month. It's a great place to hang out, listen to music, grab some coffee or hot chocolate or whatever floats your boat, and relax with some awesome people.

Other than that, I guess I'll just sum up and wish you all a goodnight/day/whatever:

1) CD release party this Saturday - 8:00pm at the Inn
2) Use Goodshop and Goodsearch to give us a donation without giving us a dime.
3) New ROAR gig on Saturday, December 5th.
