Kenya Benefit Jam
Saturday, March 17 th 6:30-8:30PM Crossroads Church – 220 George W. Liles Pkwy A concert to benefit two ministries of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church : The Kenya Mission Team and Sound of Faith Ministries Come and enjoy an evening of contemporary Christian rock and praise music and find out more about these two ministries! Music by Sound of Faith with special guest. No cover charge or tickets required, but donations will be accepted in order to raise funds for the activities of these ministries. Kenya Mission Team - An International Outreach Ministry Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church has sent 12 to 18 members to Kenya , Africa on five different missions to construct buildings and gain better understanding between the two cultures. A new expedition is planned for July 2007. Rev. Mischek Kanake is the pastor of a church in Kenya with whom Mt. Olivet has maintained a relationship since Rev. Lewis Gibbs traveled there in 1977. Sound of Faith Ministries - A Local Outreach Ministry Sound of Faith's central purpose is to spread the Word and the Message of Jesus Christ to other people.
